Physiotherapy, Hydrotherapy & More
At MotionMenders, we are a Gold Coast-based healthcare provider delivering Physiotherapy, Hydrotherapy, Assistive Technology, Allied Health Assist and Support Worker services for children, adolescents, and adults.
Our Physiotherapy services are available to everyone, whether you are a NDIS participant, a Medicare patient referred by your GP, or accessing care through private health insurance. Across all funding pathways, our approach remains person-centred, goal-focused, and evidence-based, ensuring every client receives care tailored to their unique needs, abilities, and lifestyle. We support a wide range of conditions including developmental, neurological, musculoskeletal, and chronic health needs.
Our Allied Health Assistant and Support Worker services are available to NDIS participants, helping to build independence, reinforce therapy goals, and support meaningful community participation.
Services are delivered in clinic, at home, in the community, via telehealth, and in aquatic environments, so therapy fits your life, not the other way around.
Physiotherapy Gold Coast – NDIS, Medicare & Private Health
MotionMenders provides Physiotherapy on the Gold Coast across three pathways: NDIS, Medicare, and private health insurance. We support children and adults with a broad range of needs, from disability and developmental delays through to musculoskeletal injuries, chronic conditions, and general health and wellness goals.
NDIS Physiotherapy Gold Coast
MotionMenders is a NDIS Physiotherapy provider to Gold Coast participants with disability, developmental delays, neurological conditions, and musculoskeletal concerns. Our Physiotherapists conduct thorough assessments focused on how physical abilities affect daily function, including mobility, strength, balance, coordination, and pain management as well as how movement impacts walking, self-care, school, work, and community participation.
NDIS Physiotherapy at MotionMenders is available through the following:
- Land-based Physiotherapy: Strength, mobility, balance, and functional movement training in our Gold Coast clinic or in the community
- Hydrotherapy (Aquatic Physiotherapy): Water-based sessions in a heated, accessible pool, ideal for NDIS participants managing pain, limited mobility, or neurological conditions
- Community-based therapy: Physiotherapy delivered at home, school, or the workplace for real-world outcomes
- Report writing: Provide vital evidence-based reports to the NDIS that justify funding by linking functional improvements to participant goals. Key reports include Outcome Reports, Assistive Technology recommendations, Fall risk assessments and progress reports for plan reassessments.
- Telehealth Physiotherapy: Online consultations for exercise guidance, education, and ongoing support
Medicare & Private Health Physiotherapy Gold Coast
MotionMenders also welcomes Medicare and private health insurance clients at our Gold Coast clinic, by appointment only. We accept GP referrals under GP Chronic Condition Management Plan (GPCCMP) making Physiotherapy accessible and affordable for a wide range of conditions.
Whether you’re recovering from a musculoskeletal injury, managing a chronic condition, or working toward general health and fitness goals, our Gold Coast Physiotherapists will develop a personalised treatment plan tailored to your needs and circumstances.
Private health clients are welcome without a referral. Medicare clients should speak with their GP about a care plan referral prior to booking. Note: All Physiotherapy consultations are by appointment only.
NDIS Hydrotherapy (Aquatic Physiotherapy) Gold Coast
MotionMenders offers NDIS Hydrotherapy on the Gold Coast, delivered by qualified Physiotherapists in a heated, fully accessible pool.
Hydrotherapy is highly effective for NDIS participants because the buoyancy of water reduces joint stress while natural resistance builds strength, balance, and endurance.
This makes it particularly suitable for people living with:
- Neurological conditions (cerebral palsy, acquired brain injury, multiple sclerosis)
- Chronic pain or musculoskeletal conditions
- Developmental delays
- Post-surgical or injury rehabilitation needs
Each Hydrotherapy session is individually tailored and may focus on rehabilitation, functional movement, confidence in water, or general physical conditioning. We also support water confidence and foundational aquatic skills using a gradual, supportive approach, beneficial for NDIS participants who may have limited prior pool experience. Our Gold Coast Hydrotherapy service is covered under your NDIS plan.
NDIS Assistive Technology Assessments – Gold Coast
MotionMenders provides NDIS Assistive Technology (AT) assessments and recommendations for Gold Coast participants looking to improve independence, safety, and daily participation.
Our Physiotherapists work collaboratively with participants, families, carers, and equipment providers to identify AT solutions that are practical, evidence-based, and aligned with individual NDIS goals.
NDIS Assistive Technology we assess and recommend includes:
- Mobility aids: Walkers, manual and power wheelchairs
- Supportive seating and custom positioning equipment
- Walking frames
- Aquatic and Hydrotherapy equipment
- Recliners and electric adjustable beds
- Bathroom safety aids and daily living equipment
We provide detailed clinical AT reports to support your NDIS funding, including evidence-based justification required by the NDIA. Our Gold Coast team is experienced in navigating NDIS AT processes and can guide participants and support coordinators through every step.
NDIS Support Worker Services – Gold Coast
MotionMenders provides NDIS Support Worker services across the Gold Coast, helping participants build independence, establish routines, and stay connected to their community.
Our Gold Coast Support Workers offer flexible, person-centred assistance in home and community settings, including:
- Daily living support and routine development
- Meal preparation and household tasks
- Light cleaning and home organisation
- Transport to medical and therapy appointments across the Gold Coast
- Shopping, errands, and community access
- Social participation and community engagement
- Support to pursue hobbies, friendships, and local community events
We match participants with support workers who understand their individual goals and NDIS plan, helping people live more independently and stay connected to what matters most to them.
NDIS Allied Health Assistant Services – Gold Coast
MotionMenders Allied Health Assistants (AHAs) provide NDIS-funded support on the Gold Coast, working under the clinical supervision of our registered Physiotherapy team.
Allied Health Assistant support helps NDIS participants reinforce their therapy programs between sessions, build consistent habits, and ensure strategies are embedded in everyday life.
NDIS Allied Health Assistant support may include:
- Skill building, habit formation, and daily routine support
- Implementing and progressing Physiotherapy exercise programs
- Supporting goal progression and monitoring outcomes
- Encouraging home practice and therapy consistency
- Real-world application of therapy strategies in home and community settings
This collaborative model between Physiotherapists and AHAs improves continuity of NDIS care and supports steady, meaningful progress towards your goals.
